Complete unit is supplied with two pestles:(1) Large Clearance for initial reduction of soft tissue or cellular sample(2) Small Clearance completes homogenization with retention of a high percentage of nuclei and mitochondria.Smooth surfaces eliminate glass particles in the reduced sample.Useful in enzyme studies and recommended where heat build-up should be avoided.Loose clearance spec: 0.0035″ to 0.0055″Tight clearance spec: 0.0010″ to 0.0030″
