2021-04-06T15:46:54+00:00Wilmad Omni-Fit valve NMR tubes are designed for easy injection of chemicals through a gas-tight syringe for air sensitive samples without using a glove box. The Omni-Fit Tube consists of a 507-PP tube topped by a sturdy 2" section of medium-walled tubing which supports the valve system. Due to the nature of glass, Extreme Caution should be exercised when using at elevated or reduced pressures as performance of tubes under pressure or vacuum cannot be guaranteed. Adequate safety shielding should always be used when working in these conditions.. Wilmad Omni-Fit Valve Sample Tube Instruction Assemble the OFV valve with OF-40/OF-30, OF-20, OF-10 and then insert the 507-OF tube. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to open and close the valve by rotating the screw-head 90 degree. When the valve is in open position, a syringe needle could access the sample space as shown below: To pull vacuum, open the valve, use a syringe, whose inner barrel is removed and the open end is connected to a vacuum rubber hose, to puncture through the top septum. After reaching desired vacuum level, carefully pull out the syringe and close the valve immediately. The following picture depicts the parts of OFV valve: If connecting the Omni-Fit valve to an existing glass vacuum manifold through a rubber hose is needed, the optional OFVA-1 adapter is required. To use the OFVA-1 adatper, remove OF-40 and OF-30, and screw on OFVA-1 till finger tight. Please refer to the assembly below:
