PTFE-FEP Tube Liners for Corrosive Samples and 29Si NMR
2021-04-06T15:46:58+00:00PTFE-FEP contains no silicon which makes it ideal in29 Si NMR experiments. We manufacture high field 500 MHz rating open-ended tubes as an adapter to the 5 mm spinner turbine. Please use depth gauge to fine adjust the position of liner so no glass protrudes in the R f coil limit.
Application Notes
Note: The PTFE tube used in this kit is not interchangeable with PTFE liner (P/N 6005).5 mm Thin Wall Precision NMR Tube, 7″ L, PTFE Coated

Wilmad's PTFE coated NMR tube has excellent mechanical strength that can survive a 6 foot free drop at any angle. The PTFE coating also yields zero background in proton spectrum. These two features make it ideal in food and pharmaceutical studies where glass coating is a must to protect the sample. PTFE coating carries max working temperatures up to 180 °C (360 °F) and its smooth surface makes it food safe and very easy to wash. The inner diameter is precision bored with 8 micron tolerance which guarantees a sample height reproducibility within 1% at a given sample volume. Below are the recommended volumes for most popular probes: Probe Type Recommended Sample Volume Varian 5 mm Rf coil 16 mm Length 655 µL Bruker 5 mm Rf coil 12 mm Length 500 µL Bruker 5 mm Rf coil 18 mm Length 735 µLSpecifications

Parts for Pressure/Vacuum Tubes
2021-04-06T15:43:09+00:00Our Pressure/Vacuum Tube is the most reliable NMR tube for medium range pressure (<300 psi) and ultra vacuum (10-8 torr) experiments on the market. It is designed to connect to a 1/8" metal (SST or brass) vacuum line using Swagelok® fittings or a rubber vacuum hose using a glass connector (OF-60). The PV-ANV valve is made of PTFE and all other parts are Pyrex® or equivalent. Valve is opened by turning counterclockwise. Due to the nature of glass, Extreme Caution should be exercised when using at elevated or reduced pressures as performance of tubes under pressure or vacuum cannot be guaranteed. Adequate safety shielding should always be used when working in these conditions.. Wilmad Pressure Vacuum Sample Tube Instruction The upper portion of the Needle Valve is threaded and I.D. beveled to accept Swagelok® 1/8” tubing nut and ferrule, which makes it simple to connect the “PV” tubes to a compressed gas cylinder or directly to a vacuum rack as shown on the right picture. The following picture depicts the components of a Swagelok 1/8” connector: X=A, B, or C in the part number If a fresh installation of the Swagelok connector on the gas line is required, please follow the following steps to assembly the PV tube: 1. Determine the material of the gas line. For stainless steel gas line, order 250-4B-2, for brass gas line, order 250-4A-2, for plastic gas line, order 250-1C-2, 250-2C-2, 250-3C-2. 2. If installing on a metal gas line (brass or stainless steel), please pre-Swagelok fitting on the gas line by following the video below The outer diameter of the gas line is 1/8”, so ¾ extra turn would tighten the fitting. An example of stainless steel fitting 250-4B-2 on a gas line is shown below. 3. Remove the lower nut (the one with the blue cap); 4. Install the PTFE PV valve in the nut as shown in picture below. The needle valve can be tightly closed using a small wrench. If connecting the PV tube to an existing glass vacuum manifold through a rubber hose is needed, please refer to the picture below for parts: After assembly
